What's Happening?

Tablet Academy are excited to offer schools, colleges and educational organisations the opportunity to host or take part in a free LEGO Education Learning Festival. These events offer teachers and students the opportunity to take part in a range of activities linked to different areas of the curriculum including Computing, Engineering, Math's, Literacy and Science.

Thanks to support from LEGO Education and HP, Tablet Academy are able to deliver these events for free!

What you can expect

The LEGO Education Learning Festivals are designed for Key Stage 2 (Years 5 & 6) and Key Stage 3 (Years 7 & 8) students. The activities provide teachers with the opportunity to see how Lego Education solutions can support all areas of the curriculum, not just computing and STEM, and students have the opportunity to learn and experience new technology.

How does it work?

The LEGO Education Learning Festival is hosted for a day by a school or college who will extend invitations to local schools. The Festival programme is as follows:
  • The day is split into two workshops, morning and afternoon, each lasting approximately 2.5 hours and covering the same content.
  • Up to 30 students take part in each session (60 total) accompanied by staff from the host school and visiting schools.
  • Ideally each school including the host will send groups of up to 5 students and 1 teacher to the morning or afternoon workshop.
  • The workshops are led by consultants from the Tablet Academy who will guide staff and students through the circuit of activities allowing pupils to learn and teachers to observe and learn as well.

What's the catch?

There's no catch. The Festivals provide schools with the opportunity to see and experience new solutions from LEGO Education and HP. The hope is, by attending the festival teachers and pupils will be inspired and informed about how the solutions can help bring the national curriculum to life, not just the STEM and Computing curriculum but all subject areas.
