Virtual Reality Festival – Birmingham
27th June @ 9:15 am - 3:15 pm
What is a VR Festival?
Tablet Academy are keen to introduce practical VR learning in schools. We therefore wish to offer schools, colleges and educational organisations the opportunity to take part in a FREE Virtual Reality Learning Festival. These events offer teachers and pupils the opportunity to take part in a range of activities linked to different areas of the curriculum including Science, Literacy, Humanities and Art.
Literacy: Be inspired by a fascinating story to develop your descriptive writing.
Geography: Learn all about volcanoes by travelling inside the Earth then flying high in the sky to observe an explosive eruption.
Science: Dive deep inside the human body to see for yourself how amazing we really are.
The Festival programme is as follows:
The VR Learning Festivals are designed for Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 3 students.
The day is split into four workshops, each lasting a total of 1hr 15 mins. The content is repeated in all four sessions.
Workshop sessions are from – 9:15, 10:45, 12:30, 14:00 each with 3 schools present.
Each attending school can send 1 member of staff and up to 5 pupils to participate in their selected workshop.
The workshops are led by consultants from the Tablet Academy who will guide staff and students through the circuit of activities allowing pupils to learn and teachers to observe as well as learn.
What’s the cost?
Tablet Academy are able to deliver these events for FREE! The hope is, by attending the festival teachers and pupils will be inspired and informed about how the solutions can help bring the national curriculum to life.
