About the Series:

Microsoft is teaming up with education training specialist Tablet Academy to deliver a series of events aimed at supporting school leaders and classroom educators to further embed and benefit from the features provided by Microsoft tools. The focus of these events is to help institutions looking to develop both their in-class delivery and remote programmes.

Event Summary:

Heard about Flipgrid, but want to know more?  This webinar will take you through what Flipgrid is, the key features, how to get started and a range of approaches to using it with your students.

Type of Event: Webinar

A 1-hour Teams Live event with an unlimited number of participants. These events will include presentations and, where appropriate, live demonstrations, followed by 15-20 minutes of Q&A.

Session Overview:

 This webinar will explore the key principles of Flipgrid, providing a core introduction to what it is and how it can be used.  We will look at gettings started with Flipgrid and show key features such as: topics, groups, shorts, mixtapes.

This session is ideal if you are a teacher who is new to Flipgrid and would like to understand the basic principles and see if this is a tool that you want to use in the classroom.

About your Trainer:

Samantha O’Leary 

Sam is a former English teacher and head of department, with fifteen years of experience as a teacher and over twenty working in education. 

As a senior consultant for Tablet Academy UK, Sam now provides training, consultancy and advice on adoption and best practice for embedding the use of technology for teaching and learning.  She also provides training and guidance for non-teaching staff, as well as providing training and adoption support for staff working for local and national government. 

Sam can often be found presenting on behalf of Microsoft and is an MIE Expert, MIE Master Trainer and Microsoft Certified  Educator.
