About the Series:
Microsoft is teaming up with education training specialist Tablet Academy to deliver a series of events aimed at supporting school leaders and classroom educators to further embed and benefit from the features provided by Microsoft tools. The focus of these events is to help institutions looking to develop both their in-class delivery and remote programmes.
Heard about Flipgrid, but want to know more? This webinar will take you through what Flipgrid is, the key features, how to get started and a range of approaches to using it with your students.
Type of Event: Interactive
A 2-hour hands-on workshop immersing you into Microsoft Teams and how you can implement the tools available to you. An interactive walkthrough with a highly experienced specialist where the conversation is promoted to assist learning.
This hands-on workshop will explore how to get started with Flipgrid, looking at key features such as: topics, groups, shorts, mixtapes and experience how Flipgrid can be used to enhance learning and deepen engagement. We will try out a range of activities and discuss best practice approaches.
This session is ideal if you are a teacher who is new to Flipgrid and would like support with getting started.

As these are interactive events, you will be sent individual log-in credentials which will be used to log into Microsoft Teams in an in-private/incognito browser. Here you will find a channel including the meeting for the interactive session.
You will be sent your credentials a minimum of 24 hours before the start of the workshop.

About your Trainer:
Sam is a former English teacher and head of department, with fifteen years of experience as a teacher and over twenty working in education.
As a senior consultant for Tablet Academy UK, Sam now provides training, consultancy and advice on adoption and best practice for embedding the use of technology for teaching and learning. She also provides training and guidance for non-teaching staff, as well as providing training and adoption support for staff working for local and national government.
Sam can often be found presenting on behalf of Microsoft and is an MIE Expert, MIE Master Trainer and Microsoft Certified Educator.
