About the Series:

Microsoft is teaming up with education training specialist Tablet Academy to deliver a series of events aimed at supporting school leaders and classroom educators to further embed and benefit from the features provided by Microsoft tools. The focus of these events is to help institutions looking to develop both their in-class delivery and remote programmes.

Event Summary:

During this interactive session, we will look at how a lesson can be structured, from creating the resources to delivery and distribution using Class Notebook

Type of Event: Interactive

A 2-hour hands-on workshop immersing you into Microsoft Teams and how you can implement the tools available to you. An interactive walkthrough with a highly experienced specialist where the conversation is promoted to assist learning.

Session Overview:

If you have already familiar with setting up your class notebook and using the basic features with your class, this session is about the workflow and setup required to make the most of your Class Notebook.

  1. What are the benefits of Class Notebook in Teams.
  2. How to provide engaging feedback and the options available for doing so.
  3. Linking in the ‘Notes’ tab in class team channels to the Class Notebook.  Do you want to use this to collaborate or link to read-only content?
  4. Capturing paper-based work and sharing that with your students and vice versa.
  5. Page-locking – when and how.
  6. Additional features of a Class Notebook:
    • Distributing sections and section groups
    • Maths Features
    • Dictate and translation
    • Researcher
  7. Inking – the big bonus

This session is intended for educators with some experience of using OneNote for collaboration. Beneficial for those that have started to use a Class Notebook with their students and are looking at ways to consolidate and add to their skill set.
