About the Series:
Microsoft is teaming up with education training specialist Tablet Academy to deliver a series of events aimed at supporting school leaders and classroom educators to further embed and benefit from the features provided by Microsoft tools. The focus of these events is to help institutions looking to develop both their in-class delivery and remote programmes.
From the basics of how to set an assignment in Teams, to advanced controls and examples of best practise. Essential for remote learning.
Type of Event: Webinar
A 1-hour Teams Live event with an unlimited number of participants. These events will include presentations and, where appropriate, live demonstrations, followed by 15-20 minutes of Q&A.
With Hybrid learning becoming the norm, setting asynchronous activities in a structured manner is one of the key elements to successful digital Teaching and Learning.
In this session, we will look at how to use the Assignments app within a class team
- To give guided instructions for asynchronous student work
- Include reference materiel
- Working with an assessment grid (Rubric)
- Assignment settings including due dates, close dates and notifications
- The feedback loop
This session is ideal for educators who have just started using the Assignments app in Teams and would like to know more about its functionality and workflow.

About your Trainer:
Sam is a former English teacher and head of department, with fifteen years of experience as a teacher and over twenty working in education.
As a senior consultant for Tablet Academy UK, Sam now provides training, consultancy and advice on adoption and best practice for embedding the use of technology for teaching and learning. She also provides training and guidance for non-teaching staff, as well as providing training and adoption support for staff working for local and national government.
Sam can often be found presenting on behalf of Microsoft and is an MIE Expert, MIE Master Trainer and Microsoft Certified Educator.
